A jumper and jeans is basically my go-to winter uniform. With that said, it can often feel a little repetitive. I mean a jumper and jeans are two major wardrobe staples but there's only so much you can do with them. With this is mind, I was recently on the hunt for a little variation and something that would give my go-to combo a twist. When I stumbled across this flared sleeve jumper I took an instant liking to it. I mean just look at those sleeves! Not the most practical for eating I must admit but I love the exaggerated sleeve detail and the colour is easing me nicely into Spring. Even if I did accidentally dip it in a cup of coffee (wooops!).
Frayed hem denim has been around for a few seasons now and I must say I'm loving the 'my dog ate my jeans' kind of look. This cropped, slightly flared pair are so flattering and the perfect length to show off an ankle boot or in today's case these amazing backless velvet loafers. Although it might still be a little too cold on the footsies to wear anything backless I have become a little impatient and quite frankly wanted to get out of my ankle boots just for a little while. They are so Gucci-esque but the best part is they are under £30! The velvet texture makes them look way more expensive than they are and they also come in a number of different colours which you can see here.
A jumper and jeans is such a fail safe combo and let's face it, it's one we reach for with next to no thought. With that said, it is nice to mix things up as not to feel like you literally wear a jumper and jeans all day everyday. Wouldn't you agree? Hopefully today's post may have given you a little bit of inspiration on how you can add a little twist to this fail safe combo. It's flared sleeves and frayed hems from here on out.
