A big baggy jumper worn over a sparkly loose fitting midi skirt in hindsight really shouldn't work as an outfit ensemble but somehow it just does. You may completely disagree but it's a look I've loved wearing over the past few weeks. Glitter and sparkles which are formerly associated with the festive season are made daytime appropriate with one simple styling trick. That's the power of an oversized knit for you. If you prefer a more fitted silhouette then simply swap the oversized jumper for a roll neck. I'm currently loving frill hem roll necks or anything with a flute sleeve to make an outfit a little more interesting.
And with that said, the slouchier the jumper the better in my opinion. There really is so much you can do with knitwear but I like how this particular jumper dresses this sparkly midi skirt down. As someone who loves pink in all shades, purchasing this was a no brainer. I also love pairing it with denim jeans as the pink hue really pops against the light wash denim.
I had considered pairing this outfit with my navy adidas gazelle trainers for ultimate comfort but I just couldn't resist these velvet ankle boots. The platform makes them super comfortable and a great everyday boot contender. Not to mention, I have become pretty obsessed with the must have texture of the season. The colour is also gorgeous and compliments not only this gold midi skirt but the pink jumper too. An outfit so perfect for the run up to Christmas, wouldn't you agree?
