Free From Fur With Jakke Ldn

Fur is such a controversial topic of debate within the fashion industry. With a resurgence of fur seen on the catwalks during recent seasons, it still remains consistently popular with many of the Italian fashion houses as well as designers from Paris, London and New York also embracing fur. It's astonishing to think that the fur trade has an estimated worth of £24 billion!

My views when it comes to wearing fur? I doubt I would actively go out and buy a fur coat anytime soon. Admittedly, I have tried on a few fur coats in my time but in all honesty I experienced an almost suffocating feeling when I wore real fur for the first time. Despite the silkiest of textures there was something that made me feel a little sick about the prospect of wearing a dead animal on my back.

With so many amazing faux fur versions on the high street, is it really necessary to buy fur at all?! It's still warm, soft to touch and saves a few animals in the process. Take this Jakke Ldn colour block faux fur coat for example, it's hands down one of the warmest coats I own and looks amazing on. When I received it in the post, a 'free from fur' label was stitched on the right arm which made me feel like I was helping to support a good cause and hopefully save a few innocent animals in the process.

With such a statement coat, I kept the rest of my outfit pretty minimal because quite frankly it really doesn't need that much styling. Apart from these AMAZING Stella-esque platform lace up shoes. I mean just look at them! I can't even begin to tell you how comfortable they are too. They also come in a variety of colours including black and nude and also these pretty badass rose gold version with metallic stars! At just under £30 a pair, they definitely won't break the bank either compared to the Stella McCartney Elyse lace up platform shoes that retail for around the £600 mark. With probably the best dupe I've seen you can definitely thank me later.
