Dressing For An Occasion On A Budget: The £40 Self Portrait Dupe You Need In Your Life

It's very rare for me to find a dress that actually makes me feel like a real life princess. For some time now, I have been longing to add a self portrait dress to my wardrobe but haven't been able to justify the hefty price tag nor had the occasion to wear one. I mean lets face it they are pretty fancy schmancy as far as dresses go. When I stumbled across this beauty I had to do a double take as it bears an uncanny resemblance to the Self Portrait Azaelea dress I loved so much. You want to know the best part? It a mere £40 compared to a heftier £240 for the real deal. If you don't believe me check it out for yourself here. Without sounding biased, I don't think I've ever seen a dress so pretty. Not to mention, it literally makes me feel like a million dollars when I have it on which is something so hard to find on the high street or shall I saw world wide web. Admittedly, this is a very girly look by my standards but I absolutely love it and that this outfit needs very little accessorising.

Suitable for any special occasion, I don't care if this dress sits in my wardrobe because quite frankly I wouldn't mind taking it out once in a while just to stare at it. It really does have that affect on me. I don't know about you, but I often feel frustrated if I spend money on something and simply don't get the wear out of it. It doesn't feel like money well spent. If you have a summer wedding, graduation, friends birthday or just a special occasion where you want to feel amazing then this dress is for you. Did I mention it's just £40! I still can't get my head around that part. Some of you may not like the fact that this is pretty much an identical copy of the Self Portrait Azaelea dress. I say this because a few people commented on this when I posted a photo of me wearing it on my Instagram last week. Realistically, you may love this dress but not want to spend over £200 for something your going to wear once. I personally love it and think it's a bargain worth sharing with you guys. I hope you agree.

I'll get down to the nitty gritty details of the dress, for any of you considering a purchase. The dress itself did come from China but don't be put off because it was delivered in under 10 days and this was with free shipping! I'm wearing a size small and would say it is pretty true to size as I usually wear an 8. The quality is quite frankly amazing and I like that it features a thin underskirt, not the cheap netting you often find on dresses of this kind. I think the photos speak for themselves in conveying just how much I love this Self Portrait dupe. It really is a dress fit for a princess.
