A Summer Must Have: The Wrap Over Dress

One item I'm absolutely loving this summer is the wrap over dress formerly known as the tea dress. I knew that I wanted to dabble in the trend when I saw that red starry RĂ©alisation Par version posted all over Instagram recently. Typically when I think of a tea dress frills and florals spring to mind. With that said, Topshop have updated the typical wrap over style with this gorgeous floral print and cold shoulder detail. As a lover of all things pastel, naturally I was going to love this dress. Can you blame me? One thing I will say about a wrap over dress is that it flatters pretty much any body shape. Typically low cut and cinched in at the waist it's bound to flatter your smallest parts. Then why I ask myself was I so reluctant to add one to my wardrobe? I think in my head, I found this particular style of dress a little mumsy. I don't really know why I adopted this notion because I find this dress so pretty and elegant. With a print so feminine it's everything and more you could want in a dress, let's face it. So it's definitely money well spent if you ask me. This dress has been perfect for the warmer days we have been experiencing in London as of late. Little to no thought is involved in creating this look so I wouldn't be wrong in saying it's pretty effortless. It's quite literally the perfect throw on and go dress and quite the steal at £39!

As you can see I added a pair of pastel blue mules to finish of this outfit. A little too matchy-matchy perhaps but I just couldn't help myself. I am so in love with these suede mules that I want them in every colour. I have my eye on the baby pink version which you can see here. I mean just how cute are they? I can't wait to get more wear out of this dress over the coming months accompanying it with either sandals or a pair of high top converse for a more dressed down look. I would love to know whether you have added a wrap over style dress to your wardrobe this summer? You may have been slightly reluctant like myself at first but I hope that this post may have convinced you otherwise.
