About an hour before these photos were taken the heavens decided to open. Something that seems to be a regular occurrence as of late. A rather dramatic downpour that left my dress practically see through and my feet sliding through my sandals. If you had seen me frantically run for cover, huddled under a bus shelter just like the world and his wife you would have probably laughed hysterically. It's hard to believe that we are mid way through June yet the weather can be so unpredictable. Less than half an hour prior to this it was such a beautiful day in London with not a rain cloud in sight. With such unpredictable weather it really is hard to know what to wear. An umbrella is a dead cert, but what about the coat situation? I'm really struggling, I don't know about you.
It may come as no surprise to you all but I am a bit of a boho lover when it comes to my summer wardrobe. Take this scallop detail dress worn in today's post. It couldn't be more Chloé esque if it tried but at under £30 it's not got the hefty price tag. I mean just look at the cross over back and scallop detailing. From a relatively new brand that I've recently discovered, Glamorous have the ultimate boho inspired pieces and they are so affordable. So you can really update your summer wardrobe without breaking the bank. The jacket worn in this post is also from Glamorous. I cannot tell you how much I am in love with this aztec embroidered beauty. The boxy, lightweight fit makes it perfect for this time of year where you don't want to be weighed down by a coat but need an added layer. Not only does it look great paired with a pretty boho inspired dress but it also works equally as well with ripped denim shorts and a classic boyfriend fit tee. One things for sure, I'll definitely be getting lots of wear out of this jacket over the coming months. It's such a staple piece that was literally love at first sight. Just a word of warning, if your thinking of buying this jacket I would suggest sizing down. I'm wearing an XS which is equivalent to a size 8 but would say its just the right amount of oversized without looking ridiculous, if you get my drift. As always I would love to know what you think of this summery look.
