When I think of Boho, L.A immediately springs to mind. The desert wanderer vibes and dusky hues mixed with an effortless style that I automatically want to recreate. Come summer, I love to dig out my favourite boho pieces in a bid to adopt an effortless boho look. Whilst the likes of Isabel Marant and Chloé triumph in the effortless boho chic department, I tend to turn to the high street for more affordable pieces to create my capsule summer wardrobe. With that said, I stumbled across this crepe halter neck dress on a recent visit to Forever 21 and had to do a serious double take. Not only was it a mere £19 (I was convinced that the price was wrong) but it had an uncanny resemblance to a Chloé dress I had seen a while back. After heading straight to the fitting room and trying this dress on (I went for an XS for those of you wondering) it really was love at first try. The crepe material, low back and rope halter neck detailing make this dress so pretty and an absolute steal. Naturally I headed straight to the till no questions asked.
As many of you may have seen from my previous blog post, I recently headed to the beautiful island of Mykonos. If your anything like me, you will know what it's like to have a pre holiday wardrobe panic where you think you have nothing to wear. I know full well I do but for most people a holiday only happens once a year so you want to look your best and wear all the pretty clothes that its been too cold to wear in England. This dress seemed like the perfect piece for wandering the pretty streets of Mykonos town. Paired here with a simple lace up tan sandal and straw beach bag, achieving effortless boho chic couldn't be easier or more comfortable. This undoubtedly has to be one of my favourite summer looks, especially with its throw on and go capability. What are your holiday wardrobe essentials?
