What I'm Wearing:
Polo Neck - Uniqlo
Skirt - Topshop (sold out)
Heeled Sandals - Zara
Fashion forward, cool cover-up or chic basic - however you wear it, this autumn/winter wonder is having a moment of its own. Currently trending is the new neckline, formerly known as the polo neck sweater. If any of you are like me and frequently visit the Zara website, you will see that the polo neck has been styled with pretty much everything online.
Worn in the obvious way under an oversized coat but also layered under (or over) a dress, this winter staple is guaranteed to keep you warm in the colder months. The styling possibilities with this new neckline are endless. The polo neck is a great option if you wish to cover up your assets and embrace a more puritanical necklace.....at least for now. If you are looking to invest in a polo neck sweater, you need not break the bank. I picked this one up from Uniqlo for a bit of a bargain and luckily for me it is extra fine merino wool, so not itching. I was dieing to get my hands on an angora version but my sensitive skin simply will not allow me.
I wanted to keep this outfit playful by pairing it with this Topshop high-shine PVC skirt. Patent leather and PVC was seen at the likes of Versace, Richard Nicoll and Jonathan Saunders and is definitely trending this autumn/winter. Incorporating a statement piece like this to your outfit will definitely add a playful edge and certainly allow you to embrace different textures.
What do you think of this outfit? Did any of you manage to get your hands on this Topshop PVC skirt before it sold out?
