Today I can officially say that 'What's In Her Wardrobe' is one year old. When first contemplating whether to start my own fashion blog, I had so many inhibitions and kept making excuses as to why I should not do it. I owe it to my friend Poppy who really pushed me to take that step, and a year today my blog was founded. A year on, I am so proud of how far my blog has come. I am so grateful to everyone that reads and follows my blog and I love reading through all the sweet comments posted on each outfit post.
With my blog reaching the one year mark, I could not miss out on doing an outfit post. With that said, I thought what better way than to show all you lovely readers my Zara lingerie style dress. Hands down we owe this trend to Marc Jacobs who set the scene at the Louis Vuitton show last season. Laced-edged negligees were seen worn under oversized coats which definitely set the trend for autumn/winter.
Whilst I would love the Louis Vuitton version, as I am sure all of you would too, the high street also have some great alternatives. Particularly, Zara and I love this version which has an uncanny resemblance to the real thing. With a real chill in the air, I decided to pair this dress with a polo neck sweater. I am loving using this as layering piece and the styling options really are endless. Plus it definitely keeps me warm which is a real bonus. A great staple all round.
What are your thoughts on this look? If you wanted to incorporate tartan into your wardrobe but are not a fan of the bold statement, this green version would be a great alternative for you and is definitely more muted. I hope you are all having a lovely week so far and keeping wrapped up in the cold weather.
