This season steers away from the familiar grey/black winter wardrobe classics and into an unfamiliar territory....pastels. Pink in every hue has been seen as the desirable colour of the season. Cara Delevingne demonstrated how to 'blush like a schoolgirl' or 'flourish like an English rose' in this month's issue of Vogue. There is one thing that is undeniable and that is the feminine allure that pastels and pink add to any outfit.
I am still searching for the perfect pink staple to add to my wardrobe. I am steering towards a coat in a beautiful pink hue which will see me through to the winter months. With that said, whilst shopping with the intention to update my wardrobe with something pink I stumbled across these Zara shorts. When I first laid eyes on these not only was it love at first sight, it was also love at first touch. Floral, pastel and a silk like texture, whats not to love?! They do have an uncanny resemblance to a pair of pyjama shorts and yes I have had a few comments and strange looks. Despite this, I cannot wait to wear these more paired with a chunky knit and some loafers or biker boots when the weather gets cooler. Feminine but with a twist.
Are you a fan of pastels for autumn/winter? I would love to know if any of you have added a touch of pink to your wardrobes as of late.
