January Favourites

Hello lovelies,

I hope you are all having a great weekend/lazy Sunday! I am off to have a Sunday Roast and cannot wait.

I thought I would share a few of my January favourites with you and some new products I started using last month.

Emma Hardie Amazing Face natural lift and sculpt moringa cleansing balm
Believe the hype surrounding this Emma Hardie cleansing balm because it is every bit amazing as everyone has been saying and more! The good thing about this product is a little goes a long way, you simply add a few drops of water to create a milky paste that gets rid of all your makeup, including waterproof mascara! It also smells amazing too. It is quite a hard scent to describe but it is very calming and leaves your skin feeling so smooth and clean with pores visibly reduced. I ordered this on the QVC website and got a 100ml and 50ml tub for under £30 for the two, including postage! Which is actually cheaper than the discounted price for one on feelunique.com. The only disadvantage about this cleansing balm is the retail price, it is about £36.00 normally so when it run's out I am hoping I can snap up another bargain to save me some pennies.

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation & Real Techniques Buffing Brush
Quite possibly the best duo of all time. I love the matt effect of the Laura Mercier silk creme foundation and the real techniques buffing brush compliments this foundation so well, it literally buffs it right into your skin leaving no lines that you can often get from a slanted foundation brush. Perfecto! Luckily I didn't pay for these as I had some beauty vouchers left over from Christmas, otherwise this would have been a painful purchase close to £50 *gawp*

Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub
Not only does this exfoliate your lips and get rid of any dead skin that can cause dry or chapped lips, I also don't have to feel guilty about licking it off my lips either. Better still, it smells like popping candy and tastes just like popcorn! What's not to love?! At £5.25 it is definitely worth the money and it contains all au naturale ingredients. This scrub comes in three other flavours but Popcorn was definitely my favourite of the bunch. You should definitely try this lip scrub out which means a nice visit to Lush!

Benefit They're Real Mascara
I received this as my cracker present on Christmas Day from my Auntie and was a bit skeptical at first. I have never been one to believe phrases like "longer lashes" or "they're real" but this mascara literally makes you want to say what is on the front, out loud and with an exclamation mark too! Just for extra effect of course. I will 100% definitely be buying this when it runs out, who needs false eyelashes when you have this genius?! I am not sure exactly how much this is but I think it is definitely worth the money.

Topshop All About Me Lipstick
I love the colour and the fact that this lipstick lasts for hours! The only thing I would say is that this lipstick is a little drying, in comparison to Mac lipsticks which I find moisturise your lips a lot more. However, the colour is gorgeous so I cannot complain. I think I paid £8 for this so definitely a cheaper alternative to Mac and I love the packaging. Bit of a Marketing Man's dream.
Have you tried any of the products from my January favourites? If so I would love to know how you got on with these.

I picked up a huge sample of the Silk Creme Foundation a couple of weeks ago and adore it, it's perfect for nights out and days when you need that extra bit of coverage, thanks for the brush tip as my sigma f80 isn't perfect for it.

  70. Hi there!

I've been eyeing the Emma Hardie cleansing balm but never got around to buying it, afraid that it'll be too oily for my skin. Do you recommend it for oily skin types?

I'm absolutely a fan of the real techniques brushes as well as the topshop lipsticks! Loving the makeup pouch you have there as well, very cute~

    1. Thanks for the comment on my blog. I would definitely recommend this for oily skin types as I have oily skin myself and haven't had a problem with it. It removes all your makeup and you wipe it off with water and a flannel so you should be ok with it. Hope this helps! X
