Today was a very hectic day at the Karla Otto office in London. The annual press day took place which
showcased many of the latest SS13 collections as seen on the catwalk at the likes of London, New York, Milan and Paris Fashion weeks in September. From the collections I saw, the samples were absolutely beautiful and the showrooms looked visually appealing on the eye. Behind the scenes however, I know that reaching the end result took lots of hard work and preparation involving showroom moves and plenty of steaming!
I must admit it was pretty strange viewing Spring/Summer collections when it is so cold outside but that's the fast paced nature of fashion for you! From clear observation I am happy to say that pastel shades seem to have made a welcomed appearance once again. Collections from Valentino and DVF definitely favoured pastels for the colour of choice for SS13. However, Simone Rocha definitely pushed the boundaries with neon matching ensembles and latex textured skirts (something I am not sure will make an appearance in my wardrobe next summer). One thing is for certain, I definitely will not be having my legs out anytime soon but one can only hope for warm summer weather again. I thought I would share some photos I took today as I personally loved many of the collections. After one too many delicious brownies, I think it is safe to say that today was a good day.
